I search something on the internet, and the words are huge and when i click on a link, it puts a tab and sends me to another website that wasn’t even close related. When this started happening, my internet got 200x’s slower also.

My friend is with bt and has an outstanding bill with bt, so when he opens Internet explorer it displays some sort of ‘contact our billing department’ screen and he’s unable to browse the web, although he can check email, talk on vent and various other bits and pieces which leads me to believe they have only blocked some ports…. Is there a way we can tweak his computer so he can at least surf until his account gets sorted?

Thanks

m00f

p.s I’ve tried sending him proxy configurations to see if that would work, but to no avail…

I found that quote.yahoo.com has an email alert that notifies you when a given symbol looses/gains X percent, but I didn’t find anything simple that lets me enter my email address, a given symbol and X week low. Thank you for your help.

When a newcomer to promoting a web business or starting a work at home business online begins this venture what are the most common mistakes they make? This would include any business that involves internet marketing but especially the work from home income opportunity type.

I need wireless internet in my apartment in Queens, NY, and I also want to buy a smartphone with wifi so I can use the same service on the road. I don’t have a lot of money to spend on this but speed and customer service are important.

I currently live in Brazil with my wife who works for the Brazilian government. I have a business management degree but I am having trouble finding work because I don´t have a lot of real world experience so I am considering getting a degree here in Web Design and programming. (I enjoy the creative side of web design and the technical skills you learn.) Here in Brazil there is a market for people with web programming skills to create and maintain websites. But, being American I have the desire to return to the US maybe in a few years so I´m curious to know if there is a market in the US for people with degrees in web design and programming.

I just got the email from the HRC:

This just in: the Senate will vote on the Matthew Shepard Act TOMORROW.

We’ve worked for years to get this bill through both houses of Congress, and we’re finally incredibly close.

Now that Senate action is imminent, anti-GLBT groups are activating their misinformed grassroots base once again.

Remember, they’ve convinced thousands that this bill will muzzle preachers and send pastors to jail for reading certain parts of the Bible. If we don’t call right now, critical votes COULD BE LOST to these scare tactics.

CALL BOTH YOUR SENATORS RIGHT NOW:

Both Sen. Boxer and Sen. Feinstein are already signed on as co-sponsors of the Matthew Shepard Act. You’re calling to thank them for their support and encourage them to stand strong, regardless of last minute right-wing efforts leading up to the vote.

For Sen. Boxer, call (202) 224-3553.
Then, for Sen. Feinstein, call (202) 224-3841.
For each office, tell the staffer who answers:
For each office, tell the staffer who answers:
“As a constituent, and a supporter of Human Rights Campaign, I’d like to thank the Senator for supporting the Matthew Shepard Act (S. 1105). I hope the Senator’s support for this important bill will stay strong until it comes up for a vote.”
Click here to tell Human Rights Campaign how your calls went. Please don’t skip this step – this information will help us know whose vote we can really count on.
We cannot allow our Senators to be intimidated, misled, or swayed by an extremist minority. Thank you for making your calls, and thank you for being a voice of reason today.

I’m pursuing the development of a concept for a large, content heavy dot com start up, basically an answers and research site, and need to know what best things to consider, from all angles, including technology infrastructure, legal, budgetary, insurance, best filing status, marketing, organizational charts, etc. I’m only looking for successful plans representing web properties that have succeeded. Does anyone know where I can find even one?
