Once you get your site up you need to build inbound links.
Most of the quality directories online charge a one time fee to review your site and add it to their index. Here are three of my favorites:
The more inbound links to your site, the better you will rank
with Yahoo / Google / MSN.

The best paid advertisement for my online business is the Yellow Pages. Its expensive but it increased our business 100%. They do have differant packages. Also a trusted name in advertisement. Good Luck to you.
