Well, you don’t really get caught, but if you do it will probably cost you a lot of money. Some woman downloaded 24 songs and was fined 8.1 million dollars…and those are just songs, yet that risk doesn’t stop people from doing things like this

It depends. Sometimes they can give your computer viruses. Also, it can be counted as pirating.

I wouldnt download them, i would just watch them online. it is illegal, but everyone does it. and your friend wouldnt get singled out and in trouble because millions of people do it. Tell her that you are worried though, and maybe buy her her fav dvd for her birthday

Piracy is illegal. Possessing an illegal copy of a movie is an offense.
