against, its a family issue not a national one. censor specific computers, like this in homes and schools, but dont censor the entire internet. making something illegal or “bad” will only make ppl more desperate to get it

I am FOR censoring the internet because i think there is too much out there for people to access. I think its kind of scary to think someone can find info about me on google if he/she has the right info. I also think there is too much ****** and just grotesque things on the internet as well that need to be taken off immediately.

for: useful to find information immediately, people send e-mail or do visio-conference therefore useful for business (no need to send via post office), people can stay connected to their friends everywhere in the world.

against: kids can go and visit *** site, too many viruses that can harm a business data and computers, people get too addict to it and do less activities than before (before kids were playing outside with their friends, now they stay home and play game online)

Censorship of the internet is the same as any other censorship….illegal and unconstitutional. The 1st amendment guarantees us freedom of speech. People who have criminal intents like child porno rings are just as dirty and as guilty on the net as off. But sites can refuse to allow certain language or topics on their sites that is their right.
Anything that is a matter of public record is just that…public.
Hackers who obtain privileged info must be dealt with with long prison terms and hefty fines…20 years no parole/$250,000 fine paid prior to release ought to slow those guys down. We need reciprocal agreements with other nations to do this policing..
