I can feel that my private and personal email account and the ISP connection is being hacked. Somehow, it seems like someone is reading my private emails and my facebook account. I have already tried to install a Norton Antivirus software. But it does not help.
And this situation persist. As a result, I don’t dare to do any online banking, shopping or any other activities that require me to provide my ID numbers. I don’t feel safe on the internet.
How can this problem be resolved? Do I need to change the ISP provider or to buy a computer? But it will cost a lot of money to discontinue the ISP service or to buy a new computer!!
I am no IT specialist, so any of the reformatting procedures or the anti spy ware or actions suggested by the nice helpers will not work for me. As I do not have the know-how to carry them out! I really feel like crying!!

How do you know? You need to see some evidence.

If someone has your password, changing an isp or computers will do not good since these accounts are online.
You need to change your passwords on your accounts, and get a firewall such as Zone Alarm.
If you have a keylogger hidden, Zone Alarm can keep the information going out.
Try some antispyware software to scan for keyloggers.

In adition to the other statements (scan for viruses, trojans, keyloggers, etc) ….change your passwords.
If someone is hacking your email and personal accounts, consider a password change (immediately). Use a secure password, one which is not guessable (like your middle name, your dog’s name or your boyfriend’s name) Include both Capital letters and numbers (but again, nothing guessable, like your age, your birthdate or the like.)
Instead of Fidorocks, try d0gluv3rX9
Change your passwords regularly, and never share then with ANYONE regardless of how you feel about them.
EDIT TO ADD:
Go to a site such as.
Search for products such as
Adaware 2007 Personal or Spybot Search and Destroy.
Down load the file by following the prompts on the screen.
Browse to where you saved the file.
Double click to install.
Most work this way, its not as hard as it sometimes looks.

Here are some things I suggest to my customers who have security concerns:
1. Stop using Internet Explorer. Firefox is better and more secure. If you need IE for some reason, get the IE tab plugin for Firefox.
2. Use something other than Windows firewall. Zone Alarm isn’t too bad. A hardware firewall is best, but can be costly for a home user.
3. Get and maintain antivirus software. Look at independant reviews, the big names aren’t always the best.
4. A spyware scanner is a must. AdAware is good, as is Spybot, but beware that there are companies that try to get you to get their products instead of the real thing.
5. Before you do all this, you may want to backup important data and reformat you hard disk drive. This will ensure that everything is clean. You should also format your recovery partition if you have one, as previous backups may contain security flaws.
6. Keep everything up to date. Outdated software is always a risk, and antivirus and antispyware need to updated at least every 7 days. If you have broadband, have them check for updates every day.

Honey i can understand your mental problem and also know that u r getting more confused by getting those techie answers here
But still calm down because its you who can help urself
its better to try rather than sit idle and let the enemy capture ur land.
i will try to tell u as simple as it can be but expect you to act wisely.. (theres a techie in everyone.. we learn by making mistakes)
Suggestions to using online services:
Important: Best security isnt in the software But lies in your surfing habits.
1) When u r on some money transfer site then make sure that u r on a secure connection (means the data u send is encrypted Before sent on internet)
How u can know that?
Look into the address bar u will see “https” instead of “http” in site address. The addition of “s” resembles that the connection of site is a secure one.
Also, on this secure site look in the bottom right corner or top right corner of ur browser… u will see lock icon… if both conditions are satisfied then ur money transfer is secure.
(remember the lock icon should be on the bottom bar of ur browser and not on the web page)
2) Use Strong passwords for all your accounts
i) Never use simple dictionary words.(applicable for both Pc accounts and online accounts)
ii) Use Numbers in combination with alphabets
ii) Never let any Login Accounts of your pc to be without a password. Remove any guest account on ur pc
3) Use firefox as your browser with under mentioned security plugins
a) No script Plugin
(Will prevent any foreign scripts to exicute in ur browser and Bug u)
b) flashblock plugin
(will prevent millicious code to exicute and steal info using flash object)
c) McAfee Site advisor Plugin to suggest you about sites u r visiting
4) Use spyware Blaster To stop u and ur browser diversion to millicious sites (it has a long list of black site databse. just keep it updated every week)
5) In addition to all this i suggest you to have a firewall
(this is most simple and effective firewall… although new people have problem using any firewall but its important when there is risk of people connecting and stealing data from ur pc)
Points to using comodo firewall
a) Choose general mode without Defense+ option during installation
b) After installation Choose ur network (it will show u what network u have)
c) Go to firewall Tab and click “shealth port wizard”
and choose ‘define a new trusted network’ click next
then in next window choose Zone name as “Loop back Zone” and press finish (u r done)
d) Though u will get irritated in the start due to constant alerts. read them and then allow or deny this will make it learn then soon those alerts will lower down…
6) Use a good antivirus with less memory usage
Anti-vir from avira
Although u can do more if u want but depending on ur condition i chose the best and simple security for you….
Be patient and courageous to defend urself and never give up
and lastly once again “the best security is not in the software but in ur habits”
