Why does Gmail bounce messages like crazy?

I’ve had a problem with Gmail for a long time now and was wondering if anyone out there had any idea as to what’s going on. You can’t seem to get a good answer from Gmail help so I’m not even going to bother wasting my time contacting them.

I am a member of several Yahoo groups that have had bounced messages like crazy. A lot of people blame it on Yahoo but I don’t. The reason I don’t is because I use callwave on my computer and from time to time they send me things through email. I had a message just pop up from callwave saying that they tried to contact me but the message was returned as undeliverable because my box was full. My Gmail account is only 8% full. There is no way it is full, so my question is why does Gmail like to just bounce back messages? I’ve already switched all my mail back to Yahoo but wanted to know what some of you all thought.

I don’t really use Yahoo mail so I can’t comment on that but I’ve never had Gmail bounce a message on me. Though, Gmail does not like “.” in your user name. Like. The problem is Gmail does not see the “.” so the message goes to both and. I don’t know if Google has fixed this yet or not.

And I have sent messages from Gmail to Yahoo, AOL, AIM mail, MSN, etc. I’ve also receive messages from them and never had one bounce, ever.
