When our country was founded, businesses just bought and sold things using a medium of exchange. When, how and why did the stock market evolve? I may sound ignorant, but I think that a lot of people have the same question. I also think that most publicly traded companies care more about their stock price than anything else. The company that I work for posts it on their web site every day, (like it’s going to motivate employees to work hareder to make it go up). Who decides increase or decrease the stock price? Is this just an arbitrary decision, or is it scientific?

I know there are ten cynics for every one person who thinks they have a genuinely novel e-business venture idea, but I am eager to develop what I believe is a highly marketable and original online project. The problem is that, although I have a clear picture of how I want the site and company to operate, I am an academic (psychology professor) without any practical experience in the online business community. That is to say, I know next to nothing about what it takes to develop a new e-business, marketing, advertising, financing, and so on. I need an energetic and experienced collaborator on this project (one whom I could trust, obviously) who is interested in putting his or her head together with me to make this really work. I’ve thought about approaching colleagues who have some web expertise, but I really need an expert on the business end of things, and none of these people qualify. Where in the world would I look to find such an energetic and experienced person?
I’m pursuing the development of a concept for a large, content heavy dot com start up, basically an answers and research site, and need to know what best things to consider, from all angles, including technology infrastructure, legal, budgetary, insurance, best filing status, marketing, organizational charts, etc. I’m only looking for successful plans representing web properties that have succeeded. Does anyone know where I can find even one?
Hello,
I am trying to find a successful annuity agent who could give me some solid marketing advice on how to get in front of qualified clients. I am a licensed insurance agent, and have spent the past two years of my insurance career (not my only source of income) trying to build my insurance business. What I have learned is that selling annuities is really all about marketing. Simply stated, you can know annuities inside and out, but if you cannot get in front of qualified people who are interested in annuities to begin with, you are getting nowhere.
I have spent literally thousands of dollars on my own marketing, as well as lead programs that were nothing more than a waste of my money. I really believe in this business, and I need it to work to provide a steady income for my family, but I am at a loss on how to successfully market annuities and actually get in front of qualified prospects on a regular basis.
It would really mean a lot to me if someone who has a successful business with annuities would spend a few minutes with me on the phone and offer some realistic marketing advice on how to get in front of qualified prospects as soon as possible.
I know that agents who are successful have mastered a system that constantly puts them in front of new prospects.
I also know I am reaching for straws here, but it would really mean a lot to me if someone with experience and success could offer me a few minutes of their time to help me get a solid marketing plan in place. If anyone reads this who is successful in this area, and would be willing to help a struggling agent with some words of good advice, please send me an email to: comingsoon222@hotmail.com
