A small company contacted me that deals with very small businesses like myself. I am a freelance exhibition stand and interior designer, I work for firms filling in when they have too much work.

The company that contacted me offer the service below, which is something I am no good at as my telephone sales skills are not brilliant. Do you think it is a useful service or would I end up annoying the potential clients in my industry?
Or should I just be chasing clients myself with difficulty? Would it even be something design teams would find freelancers through?

“If you would like to test e-marketing then we could develop an email and distribute to approximately 120 contacts. We will then follow the email up with a telephone call and pass the feedback and any leads onto you. I appreciate budget is tight therefore Your Sales Manager will provide this service for £150. As you can appreciate this is a very competitive rate considering the list building, script developing, e-marketing and also telemarketing that is to be undertaken”

Many Thanks

I work at an ad agency, and am trying to come up with a creative commercial we can air on TV to get people to use our agency for their small businesses’ integrated marketing strategies (we are full service — everything from ideas/creative, to production and post, to internet advertising, google search, web building, media buying, placement, and strategy, and everything in between).

what would you want to see in that spot to get you to hire us? Humor? WHY we are the best? WHAT we can do for you?

any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I’m taking a marketing class and need to find out how a retailer tracks inventory and such by the last 2 digits of a price. I’m not refering to psychological or odd pricing. The example the professor used in class was say the price is $9.87, the 87 might mean discontinued item to the retailer, or 5.34 might mean slow seller don’t restock. I’ve searched everywhere on the web. I think these are probably retailer specific. Any information that can be provided would be greatly appreciated.

I know there are ten cynics for every one person who thinks they have a genuinely novel e-business venture idea, but I am eager to develop what I believe is a highly marketable and original online project. The problem is that, although I have a clear picture of how I want the site and company to operate, I am an academic (psychology professor) without any practical experience in the online business community. That is to say, I know next to nothing about what it takes to develop a new e-business, marketing, advertising, financial administration, and so on. I need an energetic and experienced collaborator on this project (one whom I could trust, obviously) who is interested in putting his or her head together with me to make this really work. I’ve thought about approaching colleagues who have some web expertise, but I really need an expert on the business end of things, and none of these people qualify. Where in the world would I look to find such an energetic and experienced person?

I have many different affiliate links in a few autoresponder lists emails that are being sent on a regular basis over a period of 6 months.

I would like to know how to monitor all these affiliate links to ensure they are live and will lead to the respective affiliate programs when clicked.

i.e. There will be affiliate programs that close shop and there will be links that go dead for a variety of reasons. How can I be on top of this so I can initiate remedial action when this occurs.

Thanks.
