I am looking in changing my internet provider from Comcast to AT&T. Because Comcast is making me pay almost 70 dollars for my internet service. AT&T is asking 35 for this, let me know if this is a good deal. I have a laptop and play games online.

AT&T: Gives you all the benefits and unique customization at speeds much faster than Dial-up! Enjoy virtually unlimited online photo storage, up to 10 additional email accounts, pop-up blocker, and much more.

IP Address: 1 Dynamic IP
Downstream Speed: Up to 1.5 Mbps
Upstream Speed: Up to 384 Kbps

Up to 25x faster than dial-up with downstream speed up to 1.5 Mbps. No voice line or term commitment required. Plus, enjoy complimentary Wi-Fi access at thousands of hotspots nationwide, including U.S. company-operated Starbucks locations equipped with a hotspot.

This Internet product is a customizable service that allows you to enjoy online photo and video storage, up to 10 additional email accounts, pop-up blocker, and more at speeds much faster than Dial-up.

This product is for customers who don’t have AT&T local phone service.
Well…they don’t have any deals since I don’t have it with cable TV or phone. With basic Cable and Internet was 69…which I would end up paying 75 or so dollars. Either way I will keep paying in the range of 60 to 70 dollars.

WARNING ALOT OF READING> LEAVE NOW IF U **** READING OR IF YOU ARE LAZY AND DONT LIKE TO REaD

IS THIS ISP FAIR??

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HughesNet

http://www.complaintsboard.com/complaints/hughes-net-c215646.html

The Fair Access Policy (FAP)
The FAP is a policy that limits the total amount of data that can be downloaded by a user within an allotted amount of time. The most basic HughesNet plan allows users to download 200 megabytes ( This limit increases depending on which plan the subscriber is using )

Unfortunately any consumer using more than half of the amount they paid for will experience significant decrease in download speeds. A tell tale sign of this can be seen by simply performing a speed test using the HughesNet or any speed test provider, the Consumer will note decrease in download speed and a substantial increase in upload speed by as much as 300%.

. According to HughesNet, the download/upload limit is based on a virtual “bucket” containing 200MB or more dependant upon the plan, that gets used up by downloads and uploads. It is, at the same time, being refilled at a rate that is estimated to be about 18-50 kbit/s. If the user is judicious about their downloading they will never hit this limit. However, once the “bucket” is emptied, the users downloads speeds (only) are throttled back for approximately 24 hours, leaving the user with downloads speed of about 30 kbit/s for the duration. (This speed rating comes from user measurements, as HughesNet now refuses to disclose any rates after violating the FAP.) Downloads and uploads are not monitored between 2am - 7am for DW6000,DW7000, HN7000S and the recently added HN9000 [1]

(((BASICLY SAAYING))) if you want to download let say and itunes updates. i virus or email protection update usually about 160mbs big. you gotta stay up alll night even though you may have work. WOW brilliant idea :D
Satellite Internet can be more costly when compared to other forms of Internet access. For the “HughesNet Home” 1 Mbps/128 kbit/s plan described above, installation is $399.98 up front, and basic service is $59.99 monthly (as of April 2008)

((but your geting Faped)) if u get the cheapest. u only get 200mb aka crap))

THEN if u wanna quit. u have a 300 termination fee.

NICE!!!

I’ve had a problem with Gmail for a long time now and was wondering if anyone out there had any idea as to what’s going on. You can’t seem to get a good answer from Gmail help so I’m not even going to bother wasting my time contacting them.

I am a member of several Yahoo groups that have had bounced messages like crazy. A lot of people blame it on Yahoo but I don’t. The reason I don’t is because I use callwave on my computer and from time to time they send me things through email. I had a message just pop up from callwave saying that they tried to contact me but the message was returned as undeliverable because my box was full. My Gmail account is only 8% full. There is no way it is full, so my question is why does Gmail like to just bounce back messages? I’ve already switched all my mail back to Yahoo but wanted to know what some of you all thought.

Whenever an email bounces, I always get this message delivered through kundenserver. I just wanted to know a bit more about this server if someone knows and also what are it’s capabilities etc.

I had a business account w/ AT&T. They sent me an email saying my contract was up by a certain date. After the date I switched providers. Now AT&T is trying to say just my phone expired on that date and my internet wouldn’t expire until later b/c I upgraded my service. They say upgrading my service “verbally” renewed my contract. So now they wanna charge me $100..I never signed anything to renew the contract..what will happen if I refuse to pay the fee??

Thanks

Every time I TRY to sign into yahoo mail via my internet browser, I get that dreaded text page….”Cannot Find Server - The Page Cannot Be Displayed - Please try the following….” (Now dont those pages just p*ss ya off enough as it is?) I’ve tried everything it tells me to do on that page.

It happens to all yahoo user ID’s that try to sign in on my computer, not just my account.

My passwords are correct, I’ve tried setting my security at the lowest and at the highest options, tried resetting cookies, and I can sign into hotmail and other mail providers.

I can only get to my Yahoo mail by signing into Y!Messenger and hoping I have a new message alert to click on to take me there. I have to keep old emails to access things like yahoo answers, cuz I cant sign into any other yahoo services either.

I tried going to Yahoo Help, but theres nothing about this listed. I even clicked the “Contact Us” button, but I cant cuz it tells me to do the one thing I cant do - SIGN IN!!!
This has been happening for over a year. My computer has been turned off plenty of times.

the internet offers access to a wider geographic customer base, which allows targeting segments and interest groups; by encouraging interactions between customers, the internet allows the development of electronic webcommunities; promotion strategies must be developed to target specific market segements and to develop web-communities

I’m 15 and I want to save some money for an iphone, a computer and a tv and all that kinda stuff. I was thinking that as I’m good at designing simple websites like for example onemorelevel.com (although I didn’t design that but I could have done) . I’m good at graphic design and making menus in flash and css and I can make good looking websites but just not very advanced ones that interact with the user. Well I was thinking that I could design websites for clients like small business and things like that that just want to advertise their services and then I would charge a small fee (about 50 pounds). Is there a demand for this type of web design
