Last year I had about $3,500 in expenses for hosting of my websites and expenses for freelance writers and photographers. On my Schedule C, how do I write off these expenses? Some of these freelancers are American, some are international. I didn’t file any forms for them, but all their earnings were under $500, so I thought I don’t have to file a 1099-MISC anyway. But I also didn’t keep any receipts of money transfers (copy of checks, etc.). Same for the hosting cost (I don’t have a confirmation email from my hosting provider that lists the cost of their services).

How do I report these expenses? Do I just put the complete sum for the freelancers and the hosting? Do I list the people’s names? This is the first year I’m doing this, so I’m completely new to doing self-employment taxes.
