Autoresponder for You

My father just received a second letter from our cable provider regarding my delinquent brother downloading movies. They state they were notified by the RIAA (or some similar group) a second time about an illegal download and if it happens one more time the cable company will be forced to shut off our service. We depend on this company for TV, phone as well as internet so switching companies will be costly and a pain.

My dad wants to just get rid of the internet service but I’d really rather not have to go to my neighbors or the library to check email or pay bills when I get back from college for the summer.

We were promised after the first letter that the downloads would stop but obviously my brother can’t be trusted. Is there any simple way to throttle these large downloads from the router side? (rather than on his laptop). Ideally such a product could identify large downloads but not impact online gaming or legal downloads via the playstation network.

I used to have the regular Internet Explorer 8 which came with my new laptop. But i recently switched to Internet Explorer 8 Optimized for Yahoo. It is strange and the script seems to be much to big for the page. I would like to go back to the regular Internet Explorer 8, but I dont
know how. Please anyone who has any idea how to do this, let me know.

We have cable internet. I recently got a laptop and wanted to get internet through it. I have seen routers in stores. Is that all I need?

I live in the USA but will travel to Guang Dong (Dong Guan, Qing Xi to be exact). I want to be able to use the internet on my laptop there. I know there are internet stations/computer labs there and they charge by the minute but it would be convenient to be able to use my laptop anywhere anytime. Does anyone have any ideas?

I am using company laptop (Vista) and connected to our mail server to check my emails. The computer setup for Two user, one as administrator and the other user will be me. I want to know is it possible for company to monitor what I am doing when I am away from office and using internet to connect to company email server. How I can find this.

I use the same laptop at work and at home. In Outlook, I have 8 email accounts. Every time I come home, I have to manually change the outgoing (SMTP) mail server for every single one of them (because I use a different ISP at home and otherwise my mails won’t be sent…). Is there an easy way to do this? With a macro or something. Thanks!

I have two laptops — one at home and one at work. On which computer should I put my autoresponder, as I’m going on vacation and will use my home laptop on vacation (to check email but I still want the autoresponder to go out)? Does it make a difference? Thanks for the help.
